Who are Environment Times?
Environment Times are a UK based sister website to the print magazine and is a one stop resource provider for environmental news, marketplace products and digital editions. since 1993.
Having us featured in their magazine is a big achievement for Sumillion as it gives our a wider reach to be recoginised in the work we complete in order to make IT procurement more sustainable for our customers.
It also raises the awareness of how businesses are attempting to make a positive environmental impact on the planet through the usage, recycling and technology of IT.
What this feature highlighted
The magazine feature honed in on the point of how Sumillion is focused in making every stage of its IT operations lifecycle more sustainable as while digital transformation continues to develop the negative effect of IT procurement in the industry expands where production, energy consumption and disposal of no longer useable IT equipment are overlooked and resulting in more electronic waste often being pushed into landfill and polluting the environment. Sumillion priority is to fight against this by integrating carbon tracking into procurement, extending asset lifecycles through its circular economy models that are a result from Sumillion’s collaborations with Positive Planet and other manufactures through the monitoring the equipment’s life cycle from resources to supply to offset, reuse or upgrade and the consumption to recycling.
This results in zero landfill disposal for Sumillion supported by its certification in carbon literacy training and an EcoVadis Silver rating.
The Kings Award For Enterprise In Sustainability 2026
Also mentioned in the feature is the Kings Award for enterprise in sustainability which Sumillion has through the approvement of his Majesty on the prime ministers recommendation for this category.
It is the most prestigious business honour as Sumillion joins a select group of organisations who have received this Royal recognition since its beginning in 1965.
Sumillion Green Partnership Programme
A important mention in the magazine was Sumillion’s green partnership programme. This project is designed to recognised and reward Sumillion’s customers for their contributions to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility efforts giving exclusive benefits that grow alongside the customers continued commitment to creating lasting change.
